Michael is married to Chelsea Warren, a high school art teacher at Highland Park High School. He has two children, Nathaniel and Jillian, and three dogs. In addition to his career in educational leadership, Michael is an artist and musician that loves spending time with his family.
Michael Warren is a passionate educator, an exciting facilitator, and a creative problem solver. Currently, Michael is the Director of the Moody Advanced Professional Studies (MAPS) program at Highland Park ISD in Dallas, TX. This being a new, cutting edge program, Michael and his team had the opportunity to design the 10,500 sq ft facility, the unique course offerings, and the curricular framework. Before this, he was a K-12 STEAM Instruction Coach, helping teachers at all levels augment their lessons and curriculum with STEAM concepts. He taught high school art for 14 years, classes including but not limited to Art One, AP Art, and IB Diploma Art. Michael Warren is also the creator of the former educational resource company, Terra Forma Cards, and has facilitated professional learning sessions all over the state and beyond.
